No doubt - Joey's has definitely stepped up to the plate big time. I had the Miso Noodle soup with Teriyaka chicken last week. Seriously well done for a kitchen that does not specialize in Japanese Food.

I can see where jls is coming from for sure with the butter chicken - I may just try that in the near future.

Surprisingly good food here. Way better than Earl's, and a better atmosphere too. If you have to do dinner at a chain, this is definitely the place to go. Good martinis, nice butter chicken (I know, seems weird, but it's good), and great chocolate desserts.

Casual dining at its best. Try the fish tacos.

Went to Joey's for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon... mostly because there's almost nowhere in this town to go for a cocktail on Sunday. It turned out to be an excellent event. After my spouse decided she wanted to try the Atlantic Lobster Grilled Cheese sandwich, I was definitely in for more than just appies.

Here's the menu:

Caesar Sundays - bloody caesar. $3.99 each! ... all day.

Tandoori Chicken Flatbread - tandoori chicken, eggplant chutney, bell peppers, red onion, cilantro, and cool yogurt. $10.99.

Simple Green Salad - organic greens, sundried cranberries, toasted almonds, feta, and honey balsamic vinaigrette. $5.99 (starter size).

Molten Lava Chocolate Souffle - rich dark chocolate cake outside, soft molten lava centre, and vanilla bean ice cream. $7.49.

Five cocktails (she had a couple White Cosmos) + all that excellent food... and it still came in just under $100 with tax and tip. Nice.

Had a less-than-stellar dinner tonight. The ahi tuna salad was pretty good. But, I had one of the most disappointing espressos of all time. How do you wreck an espresso you ask? Who knows. It was basically half a cup of slightly bold coffee. Yuck. They set us up with a gift certificate when we answered the hostess frankly when asked, "how was everything?" Nice save.
